Job Description
As a Powder Painter, you will play a key role in the finishing process by applying high-quality powder coating to precision machined and fabricated metal parts. This position ensures products meet appearance and durability standards while following safety and quality guidelines. You will prepare surfaces, operate powder coating equipment, and inspect finished products for consistency and compliance. Responsibilities:
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, masking, and staging parts for coating
- Apply powder coating using spray equipment in accordance with specifications
- Monitor curing ovens and ensure proper coating adhesion and finish
- Inspect finished parts for quality, thickness, and visual defects
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous powder coating or industrial painting experience required
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating applications
- Ability to use basic hand tools and shop equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify finish defects
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
