Job Description
This position is with a company specializing in the distribution of industrial piping products, valves, and related equipment for a wide range of industries. The Sales Coordinator supports the sales and purchasing teams by creating accurate quotes, assisting with customer orders, managing vendor purchase orders and returns, and maintaining strong relationships with the company’s established customer base. The role provides hands-on experience in sales operations, order management, and customer service within a fast-paced industrial supply environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support by answering or coordinating responses for all requests from assigned customers
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Become familiar with and maintain knowledge of company inventory
- Comply with inventory control procedures and handle RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations)
- Enter quotes and orders, and verify order accuracy
- Expedite customer orders and incoming purchase orders
- Advise the sales team of any changes on incoming purchase orders and sales orders
- Update sales orders with any changes to customer information
- Assist the sales team with product issues as needed
- Perform other sales or expediting duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications and Requirements:
- College degree preferred
- At least two years of administrative experience preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform under pressure
