Job Description
The Fabrication Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating a variety of fabrication machines to produce metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders. This role supports safe, efficient production while maintaining quality standards and accurate documentation. The ideal candidate has hands-on fabrication experience, strong measurement skills, and a safety-first mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Operate fabrication equipment including CNC laser, CNC waterjet, press brakes, rollers, punch presses, shears, saws, grinders, drills, and milling machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and specifications
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, squares, and height gauges
- Accurately record labor time and inventory transactions using ERP systems
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, 5S programs, and quality, environmental, and safety policies
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in a fabrication or job shop environment
- Experience operating a variety of fabrication and CNC equipment
- Ability to read blueprints and perform basic math and measurements
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently

The base salary range for this position is $22-$28 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
