Job Description
A leading packaging company in Bardstown, Kentucky, is hiring for their Printing Department. This role will be providing color matching, formulating, and small batch blending.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and helps prepare ink requirements for presses
- Formulates, blends and quality controls inks per the customer requirement
- Manage and maintain inventory, ordering additional inventory, data entry, and completing month-end inventory on raw materials
- Stages inks from press to returns area
- Performs press-side color matching and troubleshooting when required
- Establish ink room color standards and entering the digital standards
- Assist in unloading incoming materials from shipment truck
- Supports customer ink trials
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree, Technical Degree or certification is preferred
- Must wear proper PPE (Personal Protective and Product Protective Equipment)
- Prior experience with understanding formulas, processing colors, and mixing ink
- Able to train on 1st shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screening
