Job Description
Come join our client’s dynamic and growing manufacturing company in Greensboro, NC. We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to support production by setting up and operating CNC router machines to produce accurate, high-quality parts and signage components.
As a CNC Operator, you will play a key role in meeting production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical ability, blueprint-reading skills, and experience working with CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, program, operate, monitor, and maintain CNC router machines
- Operate machines according to blueprints, work orders, shop drawings, and established procedures
- Create cut files using work orders, blueprints, and production specifications
- Cut accurate signage pieces using the correct materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and production documentation
- Verify machine settings by measuring positions and sample workpieces
- Measure and inspect finished parts using appropriate tools and gauges
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality standards and production expectations
- Make basic machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
- Plan stock inventory and anticipate material needs for production
- Place and expedite stock orders as needed
- Utilize computer graphics software; Illustrator and CorelDRAW experience preferred
- Document daily production and quality logs
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment
- Follow manufacturer guidelines, workplace safety rules, and company procedures
- Communicate machine issues, production concerns, or quality discrepancies to leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support production goals by working efficiently and consistently throughout the shift
Qualifications and Requirements
- 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment with CNC equipment
- Experience setting up and operating CNC machines required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Experience with Illustrator and CorelDRAW preferred
- Background in welding is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time, multitask, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Safety-conscious mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen

Pay Transparency Statement
The base pay range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00 per hour, not including benefits, potential bonuses, or additional compensation.
