Job Description
As a Tool and Die Repairman, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing progressive dies and tooling equipment. Disassemble, clean, inspect and reassemble tooling as needed.
As a Tool and Die Repairman, you’ll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing progressive dies and tooling equipment. Disassemble, clean, inspect and reassemble tooling as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair progressive dies and tooling equipment
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble tooling as needed
- Utilize grinders, lathes, mills, and other tool room equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and dies per schedule
- Document all repairs, modifications, and preventive tasks accurately
- Work closely with press operators and engineering on tooling issues
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in tool and die repair in a stamping environment
- Proficiency in operating tool room equipment (grinders, mills, lathes, etc.)
- Strong blueprint reading and math skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings
